The Boston Tea Party

Hello! my name is Samuel Adams. I was the one who wrote the letter to tell people about the tea tax that was being held. i was also in the group sons of liberty.

The day that people found out that they had to pay tax for tea (3 cents), they werent so happy anymore. Later on, these people dressed up as indians and took a ship called the dart myth and brought along with them 500,000 pounds of tea and dumped it into a lake. this was a symbol telling them that they didnt like the fact that there should be tax on tea.

The stamp act in 1765 added tax to paper goods like newspapers, contracts an many other things. and it started boycott across the colonies.
